Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when a Digital Lot purchase may be cancelled, refunded, replaced or otherwise adjusted.
Last Updated: 29 August 2026
Simple version: if your Digital Lot has not yet been activated, certain refund requests may still be considered. Once your personalised Digital Lot has been approved and published, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where BusinessMap.my is unable to provide the purchased service.

1. Scope of This Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies to purchases made through BusinessMap.my, which is operated by Creative Site Digital Solution.
It applies primarily to purchases of Standard, Featured and Premium Digital Lots and any related Digital Lot activation service offered through BusinessMap.my.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
2. Nature of a Digital Lot Purchase
A Digital Lot is a personalised digital placement on BusinessMap.my.
When you purchase a Digital Lot, BusinessMap.my may reserve a specific lot number, review your business, process your submitted logo and website information, prepare the Digital Lot and publish it on the Malaysian Digital Business Map.
A Digital Lot is not physical land, real estate, shares, securities or an investment product.
Because each Digital Lot is associated with a specific customer, business and unique lot number, refund eligibility may change once fulfilment and activation have started.
3. Refund Requests Before Digital Lot Activation
If your Digital Lot has not yet been approved or published, you may contact BusinessMap.my to request cancellation.
Refund requests submitted before activation will be considered based on the status of the order and whether substantial fulfilment work has already begun.
A refund may generally be considered where:
- The Digital Lot has not yet been published;
- The claim has not yet been fully processed;
- No fraudulent or prohibited activity is involved;
- The request is made by the verified purchaser;
- The request does not relate to abuse of the reservation process.
If you realise that you made a mistake with your purchase, contact us as soon as possible before your Digital Lot is approved and activated.
4. Refunds After a Digital Lot Is Activated
Once a Digital Lot has been reviewed, approved and published on BusinessMap.my, the service is considered substantially fulfilled.
Therefore, Digital Lot purchases are generally non-refundable after activation, except where:
- BusinessMap.my made a material error that cannot reasonably be corrected;
- BusinessMap.my is unable to provide the purchased Digital Lot service;
- A refund is required under applicable Malaysian law;
- BusinessMap.my expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
A reduction in website traffic, search engine ranking, enquiries, leads or sales does not make a Digital Lot eligible for a refund.
5. Claims Rejected by BusinessMap.my
BusinessMap.my reviews Digital Lot submissions before or during activation.
If we reject a paid claim because the business does not meet our platform requirements, we will determine refund eligibility based on the reason for rejection.
5.1 Rejection not caused by customer misconduct
If BusinessMap.my decides that we are unable to accept an otherwise genuine business and the Digital Lot has not been activated, the purchase price will normally be refunded.
5.2 Rejection caused by prohibited, fraudulent or misleading activity
Refunds may be denied or reduced where the customer:
- Provides materially false information;
- Attempts to impersonate another business;
- Uses stolen or unauthorised logos or trademarks;
- Submits a fraudulent payment;
- Uses BusinessMap.my for unlawful purposes;
- Submits a business or website that clearly violates our Terms & Conditions.
Any decision will remain subject to applicable Malaysian law.
6. Duplicate or Accidental Multiple Payments
If you are charged more than once for the same intended Digital Lot purchase due to a genuine duplicate transaction, please contact us.
Once verified, an unintended duplicate payment will normally be refunded to the original payment method.
We may require:
- Order number;
- Transaction reference;
- Payment receipt;
- Purchaser name and email address;
- Other reasonable verification information.
7. Wrong Digital Lot Number or Package
Customers are responsible for reviewing the selected Digital Lot number and package before completing payment.
If you accidentally select the wrong lot number or package, contact us immediately.
Before activation
We may be able to change your selected Digital Lot or package, subject to availability and any difference in price.
After activation
Once a Digital Lot has been approved and published, changes to the lot number or package are not guaranteed and may require a new purchase or upgrade.
A mistake in choosing a lot number does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund after activation.
8. Technical Problems or Service Errors
If your Digital Lot cannot be activated because of a technical issue caused by BusinessMap.my, we will first make reasonable efforts to correct the problem.
Remedies may include:
- Correcting the Digital Lot display;
- Restoring the business logo or website link;
- Reactivating the Digital Lot;
- Providing a suitable replacement lot where appropriate;
- Providing a refund where we are unable to reasonably deliver the purchased service.
Temporary maintenance, short-term downtime, browser differences, third-party hosting interruptions or normal website updates do not automatically qualify for a refund.
9. Change of Mind
We understand that customers may occasionally change their minds.
If you change your mind before your Digital Lot is activated, contact us promptly and we will review your request.
After activation, a simple change of mind generally does not qualify for a refund because the personalised Digital Lot service has already been provided.
10. False, Misleading or Prohibited Submissions
Refunds are not intended to protect customers who deliberately misuse BusinessMap.my.
We may refuse a refund, subject to applicable law, where a Digital Lot is suspended or removed because the customer:
- Submitted fraudulent business information;
- Impersonated another company;
- Used unauthorised intellectual property;
- Linked to malicious or unlawful content;
- Used a fraudulent or unauthorised payment method;
- Materially breached our Terms & Conditions.
11. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe a payment was made incorrectly, please contact us first so that we can investigate the matter.
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute does not automatically create a right to retain an active Digital Lot.
Where a payment is reversed, disputed or charged back, we may temporarily suspend the relevant Digital Lot while the matter is investigated.
Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in removal of the Digital Lot and restriction of future purchases.
12. How to Request a Refund
Refund requests must be submitted to BusinessMap.my using the contact details below.
Please include:
- Your full name;
- Business name;
- Email address used for the purchase;
- Digital Lot number;
- Package purchased;
- Order or transaction reference;
- Reason for the refund request;
- Any relevant supporting information.
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify the purchaser or investigate the request.
13. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be returned through the original payment method where reasonably possible.
The time required for funds to appear in your account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer or other financial service provider.
BusinessMap.my is not responsible for processing delays caused solely by third-party banks or payment service providers after we have correctly initiated the refund.
Where fees charged by a payment provider are non-refundable to BusinessMap.my, any treatment of such fees will be subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.
14. Your Rights Under Malaysian Law
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or override any mandatory consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Malaysian law.
Where this Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the applicable legal requirement will prevail.
15. Changes to This Refund Policy
BusinessMap.my may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, payment methods, platform operations or applicable laws.
The latest version will be published on this page together with the date on which it was last updated.
Changes will not be applied retrospectively in a way that removes mandatory legal rights that already apply to a completed transaction.
